Our Vision
Creating a Responsible Future for the Charedi Community
A Growing Community, A New Responsibility
As the Charedi population in Israel continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, the model for education, work, and national responsibility must evolve as well. Today, nearly 25% of first graders in Israel come from the Charedi community.
The desire to engage responsibly with broader Israeli society is a growing one, and the commitment to remain deeply rooted in Torah values shouldn’t pose a contradiction.
The Reality
Despite these aspirations, many individuals feel unable to express these views openly. Families fear going against established norms, worrying about the societal repercussions they may face as a result.
The Achvas HaTorah Approach
Achvas HaTorah supports those courageous individuals who are pioneering this change. The movement empowers and unites families through a comprehensive approach at every stage.
Children participate in the Achva Youth Movement, developing leadership and community values.
Students in Yeshivas HaMetivta and Yeshivas Mishmar HaTorah engage in high-level limmud Torah while gaining the confidence and practical skills to navigate society, including preparation for military service and building a livelihood.
Adults become part of vibrant Achvas HaTorah communities, where working Charedi men find a support system that balances serious learning with professional and family responsibility.
Women find friendship and support through Achat, the women’s division, which provides connection and learning opportunities.
Our Direction
Achvas HaTorah is building a future where Torah values and meaningful community participation grow together. By strengthening families, cultivating leaders, and building networks, the movement is helping shape a stronger and more sustainable future for the Charedi community in Israel.
